SEATTLE READING OF NEW COMEDY ABOUT MELANIA TRUMP
WILL MAKE AMERICAN THEATER GREAT AGAIN!
The workshop reading of Jacques Lamarre’s hilarious new comedy “MY VHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS SPASHIAL VITH MELANIA: LIVE FROM TRUMP TOWER” is coming to the Pacific Northwest – and Seattle’s in for a bigly good time!
Join Melania Trump (Ian Hill – Texas Repertory Theatre, Houston Grand Opera) as she shares her Christmas traditions and vonderful journey from Slovenian super-hot-model to First Lady of the United Shtates! She might even provide some secret intel into her relationship with The Donald or, with the help of her no-nonsense Russian maid, Ludmilla (Kinzie Shaw – Unexpected Productions, Second City Hollywood), simply do a pitch for her shparkly QVC jewelry collection. Come spend the evening with Melania, the only bombshell Trump hasn’t dropped during his presidency … yet!
Playwright Jacques Lemarre has written numerous celebrated works including ‘Gray Matters’ (for which he was nominated for ‘Outstanding Playwriting’ at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in NYC) and ‘Stool’ (a finalist at NYC’s 15 Minute Play Festival and the New Works New Britain Festival in Connecticut). Lamarre has also co-written a number of shows for international drag chanteuse Varla Jean Merman including the screenplay for her feature-length film comedy ‘Varla Jean and The Mushroomheads” (2011).
The reading will be helmed by Off-Broadway director Fiely Matias, best known for his directorial work on the hit Off-Broadway musical ‘Disenchanted!’ (nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for ‘Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical’ and an Off Broadway Alliance Award for ‘Best New Musical’). Matias has also directed professional productions that have toured the USA, Canada, and abroad to venues in Sydney, Prague, Singapore, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, New York City, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
