STAGE MANAGER

Rate: $1300 Stipend

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for scheduling meetings and rehearsals with Cast, Music Director, Director and other production team as necessary.
  • Assume active responsibility for the form and discipline of rehearsals and performances.
  • Coordinate with Production Team to facilitate maintenance and repair of broken equipment.
  • Maintain prompt book which is defined as the accurate playing text and stage business together with cue sheets, plots, records, and diagrams as are necessary for the actual technical and artistic operation of the production shows.
  • Call all shows.
  • Manage Cast work schedules and hours.
  • Main point of contact for Cast.
  • Ensure compliance with all administrative directives.

  • 7/13 Fri 6PM – 10PM – First Preview
  • 7/14 Sat 6PM – 10PM – Second Preview
  • 7/17 Tue 6PM – 10PM – Clean-up Rehearsal

  • Starting 7/19 and ending 8/18:
    • Thursday @ 7:30PM
    • Friday @ 8PM

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills a must
  • Work well under pressure
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times
  • Strong portfolio of previous related work and recent references required

STAGE HAND / DECK CREW

Rate: $350 Stipend

ROLE & DUTIES

  • Load and unload props and materials
  • Assist in assembly and disassembly of set
  • Set up lighting, props, and microphones
  • Construct and paint set pieces
  • Ensure props are present at beginning of scene and taken away at end
  • Move and rearrange furniture
  • Open and close curtains for scene transitions
  • Clean up stage and backstage area after performance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills a must
  • Work well under pressure
  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times
  • Strong portfolio of previous related work and recent references required

  • Provide assistance to guests with mobility challenges if requested
  • Support house staff in the event of emergency
  • Perform light post-show seats cleanup
